Matthew M. Stroup, QPA, QKA, QPFC, CFP® is 401k Retirement Partners’ CEO and Chief Investment Officer.
He has been advising individuals and corporations with comprehensive financial and retirement planning services for over 30 years. Mr. Stroup’s previous appointments include Drexel Burnham, Smith Barney and Lehman Bothers as Senior Vice President in New York City.
Mr. Stroup is a Certified Financial Planner® certificate holder (CFP), Certified College Planning Specialist (CCPS), Registered Financial Consultant (RFC), Qualified Plan Financial Consultant (QPFC from ASPPA), a Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA from ASPPA) and a Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA from ASPPA). He has obtained certificates in Pension Funds and Investment Management Program from The Wharton School of Finance of the University of Pennsylvania, Financial Planning from NYU and Retirement Planning from American Society of Pension Professional & Actuaries (ASPPA). Mr. Stroup graduated (BS, 78) from Plymouth State University. He is currently a CFA level 3 candidate.
Mr. Stroup is a member of American Society of Pension Professional & Actuaries (ASPPA), Financial Planning Organization, West Orange, NJ Chamber of Commerce, NJ Society of Estate Planners, Society of Registered Financial Consultants, Society of Certified College Planning Specialists.
He is a specialist in comprehensive financial planning, qualified and non-qualified retirement plans for individuals, public entities and corporations. He understands the opportunities available from various pension plan providers and has extensive experience in helping organizations and individuals establish, install, convert and maintain quality retirement plans. With a strong background in Modern Portfolio Theory, portfolio asset allocation and performance analytics, Mr. Stroup provides highly valued analysis and advice to individuals and corporate clients.

William G. (Bill) Roll III

A graduate of Denison University, Granville, Ohio in 1984 (BA-Economics) Mr. Roll then attended Oxford University receiving a Graduate Diploma in Politics, Philosophy and Economics in 1986.
He began his professional career in 1987 as a financial advisor with Wall Street-based Drexel Burnham Lambert. There he established a book of individual investors and professional money managers focusing primarily on equity-oriented trading and retirement planning. In 1992 he was appointed VP of Prudential Securities.
In 1994 Mr. Roll leveraged his financial marketplace experience accepting an offer to join AMEX listed Top Source Technologies as Director of Investor Relations. This started an eight-year career leading exchange-listed companies toward improving values for shareholders, employees, and customers.
His most recent publicly-traded corporate appointment was VP overseeing human resources and corporate communications for NASDAQ listed ACTV, Inc. (purchased by Liberty Media in 2002). At ACTV, along with managing investor, employee, and media communications, he put in place an improved 401K. He also established a full slate of improved health benefits.
In 2004, Mr. Roll joined his former Drexel Burnham colleague Matthew M. Stroup as an independent financial and investment advisory representative.
With over 25 years of experience in working with retirement planning issues; from both the perspective of the corporation providing the 401K, and as a financial representative, Mr. Roll specializes in analyzing corporate retirement plan needs, matching those needs with best-of-breed providers implementing roll-outs, and working with individual participants and their families. His corporate experience adds a level of perspective not common to financial representatives.
Bill enjoys volunteering for not-for-profit organizations and serves on the Board of Trustees of the Putnam County Land Trust, one of the oldest land trusts in New York State, and is a volunteer soccer goalie coach to varsity high school teams in Putnam County, NY. Additionally he is an assistant Scout Master for the Boy Scouts of America, Brewster, NY - Troop 1. Originally from North Carolina, he is a resident of Patterson, NY where he lives with his wife Jenny and two kids.

Gregory Horne, CFA®

Greg graduated in 2009 from Stony Brook University, with a B.A, in Economics. He achieved Summa Cum Laude, and earned departmental honors.
He is a practitioner of the Modern Portfolio Theory, focusing on constructing well-diversified portfolios with roots in the Capital Asset Pricing Model, specifically, factor based models, such as the Famma-French three-factor model.
Greg specializes in optimizing portfolio expected returns based on specific risk tolerance profiles. His areas of expertise include: portfolio management, large capitalization technology stock analysis, Smart Beta ETFs, Total Return ETFs, as well as Quantitative Hedge Funds.
Greg provides important services to 401(k) clients and is involved in all facets of plan analysis, installation and management. This includes plan sponsor strategy development, all-in expenses analysis, fiduciary risk analysis and advice, investment line-up creation and maintenance, and providing employee education meetings, as well as one-on-one and family retirement, investment and portfolio advice.

With a background in advanced estate planning, health care planning, and asset protection strategies for high net worth individuals and their families, Jim has been helping advisors and their clients for over 23 years.
Since starting his professional career in the field of long term health care planning in 1988, James has been a resource for other advisors, insurance companies, and brokerage firms. He has worked with firms such as Travelers Insurance, Salomon Smith Barney, Citibank, GE, Cetera Financial, and Bank of America. In 2009 Jim went independent to provide wealth management and estate planning for individual clients and advisors, and partnered with 401k Retirement Partners, LLC in 2011. His publication “What If I Live to 100? A Financial Survival Guide” is the foundation of his successful seminar series, educating retirees and pre-retirees on the importance of having a comprehensive retirement, health care, and estate plan in place before trouble sets in.
Jim is a graduate of Haverford College, Haverford, PA, 1984 (BA, History) and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner in good standing with the CFP® Board of Standards, and has attained the designation of Chartered Life Underwriter, from the American College, Bryn Mawr, PA.

Kevin R. Morse

Kevin joined 401K Retirement Partners, LLC in early 2016 as a managing director of financial planning services and has been providing investment advice as a registered representative for over 10 years.
Formerly with Merrill Lynch and Bear Stearns (in NYC) Kevin specializes in analyzing 401K plans and providing advice for overall plan improvement. He focuses specifically on suggestions for improving investment fund line-ups and participant services; providing enhanced fiduciary protection, and lowering “all in” plan expenses.
Dedicated to both his clients, profession and country, “Sergeant” Morse has contributed over 25 years of service in the United States Marine Corps and the Army National Guard. He has been stationed in Bosnia, Guantanamo Bay, Bahrain and Iraq.
A graduate of the University of Massachusetts - Amherst, MA, Kevin received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and History and a certificate in Asian Studies in 1999.
